On June 19, 1997 Jennie played what we did not know would be her last game of softball. June 20, 1997 we found out Jennie had an inoperable brain tumor. June 25, 1997 she had a surgery to insert a catheter into her heart in which she would get high doses of chemotherapy. She did wonderful through surgery, and on June 30, had the first round of chemotherapy. Three weeks later she had her second and last chemotherapy treatment. She then started a very high intensity radiation treatment for twelve weeks. We were crushed to learn that after all the treatments that there was no change in her tumor, and she had two more. Through all Jennie had went through she never let her spirits down. She kept a very positive attitude. Always trying to keeep our spirits up, and never worrying about herself. Feb. 8, 1998 Jennie turned ten years old. She had a wonderful birthday party with over one hundred of her friends. After the party we could see a change in Jennie, her condition seemed to worsen. On Tuesday Feb. 17, 1998 at 2:00 a.m. Jennie woke up having trouble breathing. As time went on it seemed to get worse. At aroung 10:20 I did the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I kissed both of my baby's eyes and told her It would be o.k. for her to go on and sleep. She was my angel for ten years it was time for her to go on and be God's little angel. At 10:32 Feb. 17,1998 Jennie passed away.
Jennie made it for eight long months fighting for her life. For a ten year old little girl she never wanted to give up. She was always a fighter............ Jennie's MOM
